We systematically photographed sections of the Moon and assembled them manually in Photoshop (see picture at bottom).

The "original" picture is 11000 x 11000 pixels (121 megapixels).

We used the MaxView 40 with a Powershot G2. The telescope is an 8" Newtonian.
